BASIC FUNCTION:
To manage instructional and research operations of a scientific laboratory, research facility or student resource center. Reports to designated supervisor.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Implement established rules and safety practices.
Establish and maintain databases of information relative to laboratory supplies, materials, procedures, regulations, and operations.
Order and maintain supplies and equipment.
Prepare reports and presentations related to laboratory activities.
Provide advice, guidance, and training to laboratory users relative to experiments, research, equipment usage, and reports.
Design and repair equipment.
May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis throughout the year.
Perform related duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; four years of related laboratory experience.Preferred Qualifications:
