BASIC FUNCTION:

Provide mental health care and education to students and the university community. Reports to Chief Psychologist or designated supervisor.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Provide psychological assessments and recommendations for treatment.

Provide consultation to faculty and staff to manage psychological emergencies and disruptive behavior.

Provide individual, group, family, and couple psychotherapy.

Develop and conduct mental health programming to educate students and the university community.

Maintain client records.

May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.

Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in social work or counseling. Three months of experience in clinical counseling.

License/Certification:

Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the State of Ohio, or Ohio license eligibility.
-OR-
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC or PCC) in the State of Ohio or Ohio license eligibility.

Knowledge Of:

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Healthcare Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Skill In:

Verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
Personal computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite

Ability To:

Work nontraditional hours as needed, including evenings and weekends
