BASIC FUNCTION:

To coordinate and oversee the daily operations of a laboratory facility for the College of Podiatric Medicine. Reports to designated supervisor.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 
Issue materials and equipment.

Maintain appropriate laboratory supplies.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

Provide instruction to students on proper laboratory procedures and methods.

Proctor and grade lab examinations and re-examinations for assigned courses; grade quizzes for assigned courses.

Deliver lectures as requested.

Maintain records and files.

Participate in curriculum review and provide feedback within established parameters.

Supervise student employees to include scheduling, coverage, and timesheet approval.

Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; two years of related experience.

Knowledge Of:

Desktop office computing applications
Safety procedures for the laboratory environment

Skill In:

Written and interpersonal communication
Organizing projects and information/data
Time management
Coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
Public speaking
Setting up lab equipment and running lab procedures to demonstrate specific concepts

Ability To:

Maintain confidentiality of examinations and quizzes
Be detail oriented
