BASIC FUNCTION:

Develop and direct program management support and resources in partnership with academic units offering online programs. Support the Associate Vice President and in identifying recruitment, admissions, and student support needs for online programs. Direct, allocate, and coordinate program management support to align with strategic planning. Implement innovations in the field of online admissions and program management. Reports to the Associate Vice President, Kent State Online.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Direct and manage programs and initiatives assigned by the Associate Vice President, Kent State Online, from idea through implementation.

Responsible for tracking online program approvals, delivery timelines, and communicating all changes to the appropriate Kent State Online units.

Work with Enrollment Management, Graduate Studies, and academic units to develop and implement effective communication strategies and student-first processes to remove barriers to online student applications and admissions.

Serve as a liaison to various stakeholder groups relative to program administrative tasks, such as university services, academic units, and university partners.

Collaborate with academic units to build the admissions funnel for prospective online learners for each online program. This includes maintenance, general communication, and reporting to ensure a smooth process for all applicants.

Develop data-informed program management plans including recruitment and student support strategies in coordination with academic units.

Create dashboards for online program enrollment data to communicate trends and issues with all relevant parties.

Oversee strategic recruitment projects for Kent State Online, including outreach efforts, communication development and execution.

Work closely with the Financial Aid, Registrar and Bursars Offices to ensure accuracy of information and coordinate processes and procedures offered at Kent State Online.

Manage operational, and administrative activities of online degree programs, including student orientations.

Provide requested information to students, faculty, and clients on a range of issues related to online degree programs.

Oversee the creation, maintenance, and retention of documents for online degree programs, including course schedules/carousels, program contact lists, etc.

Oversee online course development contracts and payments.

Provide direct supervision of unclassified staff, including conducting performance evaluations, professional development, and ongoing training of staff.

Responsible for data collection and reporting of data pertinent to assigned programs and initiatives.

Serve on various department, division, and University committees.

Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in higher education or a relevant field. Six years of progressively responsible experience in online program management, student services, and/or online admissions in Higher Education; including three years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and change initiatives.
