BASIC FUNCTION:

Provide direct support to prospective and actively enrolled students along with the Enrollment Management and Student Services (EM/SS) team at the College of Podiatric Medicine (CPM). Assist with all aspects of admissions data and electronic content for prospective students, using internal and external sources, while advancing the CPM enrollment processes. Serve in an advisory role promoting, developing and advocating for podiatric medical education.  Reports to designated supervisor.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Coordinate recruitment content and services (virtual and in-person) for prospective Podiatric Medicine students, admitted students and pre-health advisors.

Conduct recruitment programs and presentations for potential students, pre-health advisors, clubs, and career counseling personnel. Work directly with prospective students to enhance their candidacy for the podiatric medicine program.

Help support the creation and implementation of virtual platforms to support the inquiry, application, and interviewing processes.

Work collaboratively with the EM/SS team accessing student application information utilizing the Liaison WebAdmit system. Manage the download and local archiving of student applications, transcripts, letters of recommendation and associated documents as required by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME).

Serve as an advocate and advisor for prospective and inquiring students considering KSUCPM. Oversee all aspects of freshmen student information resources including e-newsletters and social media content. Provide responses to all freshmen inquiries and social media comments/messaging.

Work directly with the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine (AACPM) to coordinate recruiting events with a specific focus on all pre-health advisors nationwide.

Work collaboratively with representatives of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) on various social media programs and platforms to advance the field and career promotion of Podiatric Medicine.

Coordinate advance preparation and follow-up for each recruiting season. Duties include: arranging alumni, faculty or student volunteers to assist with recruitment presentations /activities; preparing statistical reports following each recruiting trip; processing inquiry cards and database updates; and corresponding with prospective students and advisors/counselors.

Serve as the coordinator for the Pre-Professional Internship Program. Duties include: collaborating with clinic faculty and students; confirming speakers/facilitators as needed; scheduling meeting rooms or event space; making housing and shuttle accommodations for participants; arranging guided tours; preparing internship application, printed material, programs and/or informational packets; monitoring budget use for the program; initiating purchase orders and check requests; and keeping statistical information and evaluation of the program.

Work directly with pre-health advisors at the College level to develop pre-podiatry pathways within their program.

Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors and pre-health/biology/science clubs to advance career awareness of podiatric medicine.

Prepare and submit periodic reports and/or studies as requested.

Assist the Enrollment Management staff and coordinate special projects as needed (e.g., Official Campus Visits, Orientation, Commencement and Senior Week events, etc.); assist with recruiting/marketing materials or other related campus programs/projects.

Serve on various department, division and University committees.

Train and supervise student employees.  Post open positions, process hire paperwork and maintain weekly student employee time records.

Work and collaborate with constituents internal and external to the KSU system as directed by supervisor.

Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree. Two years of higher education experience working directly with student data and processes, report writing, and/or student systems support.  Must possess strong query writing skills. Must be able to work occasional nontraditional hours during peak periods, including evenings and weekends as needed.

License/Certification:

Not applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree.

Experience with report writing tools, such as Cognos or Toad.

Knowledge of various social media platforms and resources.

Experience with Ellucian’s Banner Student system.

Knowledge Of:

Processes supporting student services at a college/university *
Presentation and reporting tools (e.g. MS Office Suite, Cognos) to generate reports and provide data analysis for supported functions in the department *
Troubleshooting and researching system issues with strong focus on data analysis

Skill In:
