BASIC FUNCTION:
To assist in the development and management of online degree programs and student success programs. Reports to Director, Program Management.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Oversee the development and implementation of transition programs and services for new students. This includes program planning and facilitation, logistics, training, and assessing effectiveness of initiatives.
Provide direct supervision of unclassified employee(s), including professional development and evaluating performance.
Communicate with schools, departments, colleges, faculty members, etc., regarding new and existing online programs.
Serve as a liaison to Online Program Management (OPM) providers contracting with Kent State University.
Send course development contracts to faculty and process electronic personnel action forms once development is complete.
Support maintenance of degree program course delivery, including ticket creation and program document updates.
Assist with special projects as assigned.
May assist with initiatives to improve persistence and retention rates for new students.
Perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field and three years of full-time experience working in higher education programs and working and interacting with diverse student populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education or related field.
Knowledge Of:
University and college organizational structures
Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Personal computer applications, including MS Office
University CRM systems
Project management computer applications
Skill In:
Written, verbal and interpersonal communication
Organizing information and projects; adhering to deadlines
Project management
Work independently and effectively in collaborative groups
Ability To:
