BASIC FUNCTION:

Coordinate admissions efforts for Kent State Online. Reports to Director, Program Management, Kent State Online.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Coordinate admissions/application process; respond to prospective student inquiries, clarify admission requirements and procedures; monitor applications for completeness; communicate with applicants regarding completeness of admission files.

Document, maintain, and track all student interactions, information, and progression through the university CRM system.

Compile, analyze and report admissions data.

Assist in enforcing admissions policies, goals, standards and processes in accordance with University policies and priorities.

Coordinate in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and online recruitment activities as assigned.

Provide customer service to inquiries from applicants, admitted students and faculty and in staff in the departments that Kent State Online supports.

Serve on department, division, and university committees.

Provide functional guidance of administrative/professional employees and/or direct supervision of support staff on an ongoing basis.

Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, or a related field. Three years of related experience in admissions or other relevant fields. Must possess familiarity with best practices pertaining to online admissions and recruitment.

Knowledge Of:

University admissions policies and procedures

Desktop software (Microsoft Office Suite) and web-based systems

University CRM systems

Skill In:

Written, verbal and interpersonal communication

Organizing information and projects; adhering to deadlines

Project management

Work independently and effectively in collaborative groups

Ability To:

Work collaboratively with university departments and academic units*

Organize and prioritize work with a high degree of initiative and independence *

Possess considerable attention to detail and a high level of quality control *

Maintain a high customer focus with contacts *

Assimilate and maintain confidential data *

Travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally
